Luana Lopes Lara is a founder at Kalshi, the first regulated financial exchange for trading on events, such as hurricanes, drought, and global temperature. Before founding Kalshi, Luana worked as a quantitative trader at Citadel Securities and Five Rings Capital. Luana earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
