National Weather Podcast Month has become a fun and creative promotion between the participating shows every March since 2017.  This year is no different.  I was excited to work out a partnership between Storm Front Freaks Podcast and the well known chase tour company, Extreme Tornado Tours for the months of March-May.

Extreme Tornado Tours (ETT) has been guiding eager weather freaks like us for over 10 years.  Their goal is to give you the best opportunity in your lifetime to witness the beauty of Tornado Alley, and get as close as possible to Mother Nature’s magnificent storms.  They have 5, 7 and 10-day tours that includes lodging, off-day tours of the National Weather Museum, Storm Prediction Center and the Twister Museum in Wakita, Oklahoma.  They will even try to meet up with Extreme Meteorologist and Storm Chaser, Reed Timmer (Storm Front Freaks guest on Episode #22).

My fear of storm tours has always been being cramped inside a van for hours just looking at my cell phone for storm updates.  But ETT vans only take 6 guests to allow everyone plenty of room and a window seat.  The vans are equipped with power banks for guests to plug in their mobile devices and 17” HD monitors that display all the radar and navigation being used in the chase.  It’s like a storm Mission Control mobilized inside a van!

You can find out more and register for their 2019 tours (selling fast) at extremetornadotours.com.
